We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data. Ever.
Our Commitment to Privacy
At Lucida, we believe that your art and your space are inherently private. Our application is designed to be a completely offline, on-device utility for artists. We have no interest in your data, and we've built the app to reflect that philosophy.
What We Do NOT Collect
- No Account Information: You do not need an account to use Lucida. We don't ask for your email, name, or phone number.
- No Usage Analytics: We do not track how you use the app, what buttons you press, or how long you use it.
- No Camera or Photos Data: While the app requires camera access for AR functionality and photo library access to pick your reference images, none of this data ever leaves your device. The spatial mapping and image processing happen entirely locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro hardware.
- No Crash Reports (Unless Opted-In): Any crash reports sent to us are strictly handled through Apple's opt-in system and contain no personally identifiable information.
- No Tracking Cookies: This accompanying website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Permissions Explained
To function correctly, Lucida requests the following permissions purely for local operations:
- Camera & World Sensing: Required by ARKit to map your physical environment so you can pin reference images to walls and tables. This video feed is processed instantly on your device and is never recorded or transmitted.
- Photo Library: Required so you can select reference images to place in AR. We only access the photos you explicitly select.
- Hands Tracking (visionOS): Required to interact with the immersive tools in your space. Hand tracking data is processed locally by the operating system.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever decide to change how we handle privacy (which we don't plan to do, given our zero-data model), we will update this page. Since we have no way to contact you, we encourage you to review this policy periodically.
